This Friday at 7:30, Travis and I will be attending the opening night showing of "It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's Superman!: The Musical" at the Community Theatre of Howell in Howell, MI. You read that right, a musical based on Superman. The show is an official DC licensed musical from the 1960's about Superman. Here is the show description as seen on the CToH page:
Superman sings and slams his way through the criminal element of Metropolis with his gal pal, Lois Lane, in the revival of the 1960s Broadway musical! Fun for the whole family, It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's...Superman! brings the comic book to life! Can Supes defeat the evil Professor Sedgewick? Will he ever tell his secret to Lois? This is the first time that this musical will have been performed in the Midwest. This musical has a pretty significant history as it has a villain that was created specifically for and has only ever appeared in the musical.
